I am a member of The Baltimore Watercolor Society (Artist Member), The Working Artist’s Forum in Easton, MD, The Rehoboth Art League in Delaware, The Delaware Watercolor Society, The Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, and the Southern Watercolor Society. I have received numerous awards throughout Maryland and Delaware. I am a resident of Maryland and Florida. I have a bachelor of fine arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art. My mentor is Frederick Schuler Briggs who I have studied with for ten years and have taken numerous workshops including two with Tony Couch. I was exhibit chair of the Baltimore Watercolor Society for two years setting up exhibits throughout Maryland.
While at the Maryland Institute, I received rigorous instruction in drawing, color, sculpture, and design that stressed the classical approach. This training in drawing and design established the strong foundation I apply to all of my paintings. My paintings are a creative extension of my love for the beach, sailing, gardening and traveling.
